Hello, and welcome to Radiant Farms! We are a small farm in Central Florida, specializing in pasture-raised poultry. Fresh pasture raised eggs, and broiler chickens are on the menu year round. Individual cuts, or whole birds parted are available, as well as whole chickens. We also have turkeys available for the holiday season! Conventional and heritage turkeys are available, pre-ordering is highly recommended. Veggies may be available seasonally.
We got our start in 2014 with this six acre plot of land. As a former orange grove it was basically a big sandbox, but after years of work (with a bit of help from the chickens) we have managed to improve the land greatly. We now have nice pasture for grazing, a nice area for gardening with improved soil, and have planted hundreds of trees. Environmental sustainability is very important to us, and we strive to consider that in every decision that we make.
Our egg laying flock is free to roam on pasture, as are our turkeys. (sometimes birds are confined to pens for breeding or medical purposes) Our broiler chickens, once hearty enough to be moved outside, are kept in mobile pens called "chicken tractors". These pens are moved every day, sometimes twice. This gives the birds access to fresh greens, bugs and forage, while keeping them safe from predators, and on clean ground.
