Our Story
Samuel and Katie Fisher run Golden Valley Farms with their 4 kids (all under 9)—located in Farmville, Virginia in Cumberland County. Although we hail from generations of dairy and cattle farmers, our program was established in 2019.
Our young children help gather, wipe & pack the chicken and duck eggs for you, and provide lots of love and attention to the many animals on our farm that produce other products that we love to sell to our customers through our program.
Our Products
Dairy
Besides our milk and goat herd shares, we produce cream, cheese, cottage cheese, ghee, sour cream, and yogurt. No matter which of our dairy products you choose, you won’t be disappointed in the taste and flavor.
Vegetables
Vegetables are available in season and grown locally and organically. This means that the variety changes through the year and veggies are not available for 12 months.
Eggs
Our laying hens are also pastured and humanely raised. They can forage freely in open fields and frequently move to fresh pastures. They receive an organic soy-free feed. They lay eggs with bright orange, vitamin-rich yolks!
Baked Goods
Our baked goods are baked in the home of a neighboring Amish family, following the same practices that we follow.
Pantry
Line your shelves with things like pickles, chocolate syrup, einkorn flour, maple, syrup, and sauerkraut. Skip that visit to the grocery store!
Soap
We source soap from an Amish family in Pennsylvania following the same practices that we follow.
